I chose Ancient Egyptian art as my progeny for this paper. I had the pleasure to view the The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt fly high at the National G onlyery of Art in gravid DC back in 2002. I was there for thrash at the clock and have always been fascinated with Egyptian culture and building skills. The part that really drew me to remonstrate the demo was the fact that many of the pieces had never been on presentation outside of Egypt before then. The exhibition mainly focused on the Egyptians concept of the after livelihood. Various pieces of jewelry, painted reliefs, religious ritualistic devices and sarcophagus were include in the display.I was somewhat overwhelmed at first since the all exposure I had previously was through movies and the television in general. Needless to say the television does not do Egyptian art justice. Each piece was very intricate and learn and showed the Egyptians devotion and keen interest in the after smell. The sarcophagi were very second base and it was obvious great care was taken in individually detail of the design. This shows just how much faith they placed in preparing their dead for a proper reception in the afterlife. The pieces on display, especially the jewelry and statues showed how much magic and mysticism transmute the everyday life of an Egyptian. Their art works also showed a sense of balance and order that guided their everyday life both at home and outside. Egyptian culture relied severely on their belief in their many gods. This was very unsullied in their art as there were many varied statues, pieces of jewelry and reliefs that depicted several different gods. These statues were often viewed as physical manifestations of their gods that would show their devotion and obedience. These forms of cultural expression withdraw to what I already knew, and have since learned about the same(p) time period.
